Kate Rivera, Principal Consultant

Kate Rivera has a broad range of experience in the nonprofit, higher education, and for-profit sectors, as well as a diverse educational background coupling an MBA with an undergraduate degree in creative writing. Kate has over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, specializing in project and financial management, relationship cultivation, and process improvement. She operates at the intersection of big picture strategy and practical implementation and is able to achieve results by bringing an analytical lens to a project while simultaneously emphasizing relationships and collaboration. 

Kate’s past professional experience includes positions as Director of Business Operations at the Urban Affairs Coalition, Financial Manager at Drexel University, and Compliance/Reporting Analyst at the Women’s Opportunities Resource Center. Her large-scale program management experience includes managing a Summer Youth Employment program providing jobs to over 1,000 youth each year and includes over 250 community partner organizations, a Digital Transformation initiative for a $35M organization, and a $17M project to close the digital divide which served over 5,000 participants in collaboration with over 50 partner organizations. She has over 12 years experience in grant writing, including successful grant applications to foundations as well as city, state, and federal government opportunities. She has over 7 years experience providing capacity building, budgeting, strategic planning, and programmatic support to grassroots organizations.

Kate is involved in local politics and was the Treasurer and Finance Director for Jen Devor’s Campaign for Philadelphia City Commissioner in 2018-2019, managing and tracking over $100K in donations and expenditures, providing input on campaign strategy, and representing the campaign at fundraisers and speaking engagements.

Kate is on the Board of Riverwards Area Democrats and on the 100th Anniversary Committee for Nationalities Service Center. 

Seth Morones Ramirez, Consultant

Seth Morones Ramirez, M.S.Ed., is a specialist in qualitative research with extensive experience
in program implementation and programmatic research design and analysis. He currently serves as a Strategy Analyst at the Opportunity Network at the School District of Philadelphia. Previously, Seth was a Stoneleigh Emerging Leader Fellow at the Field Center for Children’s Policy, Practice, & Research, working to increase supports available to youth aging out of foster care at area colleges and universities. Prior to this role, Seth worked with youth development programs at the Urban Affairs Coalition and on early childhood education issues with Action for Early Learning at Drexel University. Seth also focused on postsecondary support systems for youth aging out of foster care as a Ronald E. McNair Scholar.

 

Seth holds a BA in sociology from the University of Northern Colorado and an MSEd in education policy from the University of Pennsylvania.

Holly Fitzpatrick, Consultant

Holly Fitzpatrick has over 10 years of nonprofit experience, ranging from direct service to project management and workforce development. Holly's past positions include serving as a Student Success Manager at YouthBuild Philly Charter School and Project Manager for the WorkReady system at the Philadelphia Youth Network. Most recently Holly has worked with the Lehigh Valley Community Foundation supporting a collective partnership, Project Equity: Redesigning the Lehigh Valley Nonprofit Sector.

Holly has a Bachelors of Arts in Linguistics from the University of Iowa.
